Mayo Clinic Buys $8 Million Of Land From Menard’s

Mayo Clinic has finalized the purchase of land near Sand Lake Road in Onalaska. A company spokesman told us that Mayo does not have an immediate plan for the use of the land. Purchase price, $8.3 million. Land equals 187 acres.

Rick Thiesse with mayo tells us that it’s an exciting opportunity for them to do long range planning for the future. He says Mayo will evaluate how they can create new, innovative models of care to meet the needs of local communities and bring more Mayo Clinic care to the region.

Thiesse says Mayo will share more details when they have substantive information and are ready to make a formal announcement about the plans.
