Pumphouse Mural Getting Close
The unveiling of a three-dimensional mural at La Crosse’s Pump House is still
about four months away…
But while artist John Pugh works on that project at his studio in California, apprentices from La Crosse will continue to work with him. And as those helpers learn Pugh’s technique, Don Smith from the La Crosse Arts Board says they’ll be able to pass those skills along to local artists:
An apprentice chosen from the community is expected to spend six weeks training with Pugh. Installation of the mural on the Pump House wall could begin sometime in April.
