Harbor Default Can Be Cured
Steve Mills has a little bit of time. But the municipal boat harbor operator in La Crosse probably needs to get working on taking care of new lease issues with the city. The city’s public works board this week has found Mills in default on his lease in three different areas
La Crosse mayor Tim Kabat. The biggest issue, says the mayor, is Mills securing liability insurance for the harbor. That was supposed to be done by the end of last month. Kabat says Mills also is behind on his water bills and personal property taxes.
