Coon Valley Water Emergency To Avoid Frozen Pipes

Coon Valley still has a frozen pipe problem…

Until further notice, Coon Valley is asking residents to keep a thin stream of water running through faucets to prevent freezing. The emergency declaration has been in effect since Friday. Village clerk Renita Williamson says customers don’t have to worry about their water bills going up because of the weather emergency.

 

Williamson says it’s unusual in Coon Valley for frost to get down to the five-foot level where most of the water pipes are buried.
