Trempealeau Issues Dribble Order
Add the village of Trempealeau to those municipalities struggling to keep the water on. The village has issued a notice that water utility customers are to keep a cold water tap running at a pencil thin rate in order to keep water lines from freezing up. Water bills will be adjusted, according to the village, to make up for the wasted water. Frost has permeated the soil in the area to a depth of five to six feet. Or, right about the depth that water mains and laterals are buried.
