Antoine In 4th After Today’s Skeleton Runs At Sochi

So far, so good for a Prairie du Chien athlete at the Winter Olympics…

Men’s skeleton contestant Matt Antoine is in fourth place now after today’s two heats in Sochi. Antoine’s two runs on the skeleton sled course added up to about 1 minute and 54 seconds. That’s nearly two seconds behind the leader from Russia. Another American, John Daly, is in third place…26-hundredths of a second ahead of Antoine. The last two heats for the men will be tomorrow, around 9 a-m Wisconsin time.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk."
