Dog Stolen, Recovered Quickly

An apparent stolen dog story has a happy ending this week-end.  A woman on La Crosse’s southside called police to report her 17 month old Welsh Corgi stolen.  Footprints in the snow looked like someone had jumped the fence grabbed the dog and run out of the gate.  Just left little Elwood’s collar behind.  No real good leads at the time.  But an animal control officer did locate the dog a few hours later running on the street several blocks away.  No suspects yet in the apparent dog-napping.
