Dollar-50 Per Hour Parking Proposed For La Crosse Ramps

We still don’t know when ticket gates will be fired up in La Crosse’s parking ramps…but the city parking board has agreed on what to charge drivers.

A preliminary vote taken by the board on Monday calls for a two-hour grace period, followed by an hourly charge of a dollar-and-a-half. The gates also would be kept on every night of the year. The proposed charge would be tied to a shorter period of free parking on the street…only 90 minutes, instead of the current two hours.
