Jones Gets Prison Time For Taking Murder Suspect Out Of Lax

Jones was sentenced this morning for taking Mitrel Anderson to Madison, after Anderson allegedly killed DeMario Lee during a fight at a convenience store. The two were arrested the next day, after police traced them through their cellphones. Jones will get credit for a few months already served in the La Crosse County jail. She apologized to relatives of Lee for her actions, but said she was ‘only trying to protect’ the man she loved. Anderson is scheduled for trial in June.
