Parking Ramp Rates Almost Set
Two dollars was too high…and having no grace period was out of the
question. Members of La Crosse’s parking utility board have reached a compromise on what rate to charge the public for using the downtown ramps. After allowing two hours of free parking, the ramps will cost a dollar-50 an hour. Downtown store owner Dan Wettstein serves on the parking board, and he’d like to go easier on the people who come downtown to shop:
The entire parking board will have to endorse the rate before new parking gates in the ramps will be put into operation.
