Alan Iverson is accused of threatening to kill his wife and children on Wednesday night. The sheriff’s department made the arrest, and Iverson is now jailed in Vernon County. La Crosse District Attorney Tim Gruenke is stepping aside from the case, as is the judge who set bond at $100,000.

Iverson is due back in court on Tuesday. By coincidence, that’s the same day another long-time La Crosse cop, Brian Thomson, is scheduled to be sentenced for stealing drugs from a police evidence room.
