Snowmobile Wreck Leads To Death

A 31 year old Readstown man is dead after wrecking his snowmobile Thursday

night in Vernon County. According to the DNR, Joshua McCauley was riding on a snowmobile trail in the Town of Stark when he lost control and struck a tree. McCauley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash. McCauley was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
