Kelsey Off Council. Cannot Campaign Either
A position with the City of Tomah is now over and a run for that city’s mayor
also appears to be over. Mayoral Candidate, Leroy Kelsey stepped down from his council position over the weekend and he also advised supporters of where his campaign is. On the Leroy Kelsey for Mayor Facebook page, Kelsey advised supporters that according to the state Judicial Advisory Board, he is still on the April 1st ballot for Mayor, but he cannot actively campaign for mayor anymore. That’s because Kelsey is a convicted felon. His campaign signs came down over the weekend. The Monroe County DA is still investigating whether Kelsey committed any crimes by signing declaration of candidacy papers for council and mayor.
