La Crosse County Building Shuffle
La Crosse County board members now have a better idea of how a downtown bank
could be converted into a new county office building. Plans for remodeling Associated Bank on State Street were brought before the board last night. The move depends on whether Associated is allowed to build on the existing courthouse parking lot. Even if it’s a new proposal, consultant Val Schute says the potential cost isn’t much different from other plans being discussed:
Besides moving departments into the bank, Schute also recommends adding onto the county Health Building and the new courthouse.
