Video Visits Happening In Trempeleau
An old jail in the area has found a modern way to save money, and beef up security…
The Trempealeau County jail has switched over just this week to video visitation of prisoners. Lieutenant Tonya Niederkorn at the jail in Whitehall says doing video visits only, instead of having in-person visits with inmates, is more convenient for everybody:
Relatives of prisoners can register with the sheriff’s department to set up a payment plan for video conferencing. They also have to provide their own internet connections and web cameras, if they want to do video visits from their homes.
