Huey Lewis, Gary Sinise Coming To Freedom Fest In June

Lieutenant Dan is coming back to La Crosse, and Huey Lewis is coming with him.

The lineup for this year’s Freedom Fest at U-W-L’s Memorial Field has been announced on the event’s website. Actor Gary Sinise and his ‘Lieutenant Dan Band’ are returning to Freedom Fest for the first time since the very first benefit concert at the old stadium six years ago. Also headlining the show will be Huey Lewis and the News. The local band ‘The Remainders’ will open the show honoring veterans, scheduled for Saturday, June 14th.

 

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
