Has Spring Sprung??
The spring equinox happens today, so more warm weather is on the way.
But winter is taking its time in leaving the Midwest. As of yesterday, the National Weather Service said La Crosse still officially had three inches of snow cover, despite bare grass in many areas. That means more than 100 days in a row of snow on the ground, according to forecaster Zack Taylor. And we still could creep closer to the all-time mark of 57 days of snowfall for the entire season:
Zack says a few warm days, such as we’re expecting today, may help eliminate the deep frost underground.
