Ramp Gates Activated On April 21st

The gates go on April 21st…

That’s the day when La Crosse will switch on the ticket gates in the downtown parking ramps. The first day will be free, but drivers will be charged beginning on the 22nd. Parking board chair Audrey Kader says the free Monday is designed to let weekend customers remove their cars without having to pay the new charge.  The parking board set the activation day on Wednesday after repeated delays, and several months after the ticketing equipment was installed in the ramps.
