School Board Approves Hogan Building As New Charter High School Site

This fall, for the first time since 1983, students will roam the hallways of

the Hogan Administrative Building in La Crosse. That was agreed upon at the La Crosse School Board meeting Monday night. The district was awarded a $175 thousand grant last year to plan for the new 7 Rivers Community Charter High School. Instructor Jason Wiggee says some time lines need to be hit before class planning with students and parents can began.

The new school will start by serving 9th and 10th grade students. The state requires new charter schools to serve at least 40 students and with expected future growth in mind, that was the main reason Hogan was chosen as the school’s new home.
