Tomah School Referendum Found NOT To Have Passed
The celebrations by the Tomah School District that their school referendums
had won last week…have come to an abrupt halt. This after a canvass conducted Monday found that the referendum had failed, not won, by 25 votes. Fueled by transposed numbers in the Monroe County town of Grant. Town Clerk, Sandy Lea Wood.
Election night totals had the referendum winning by a 55-21 margin, but the town actually voted 56-21 against the measure. In the Town of Clifton, who didn’t know there was a problem until we called them, also had a 60 vote difference, though they were all against the measure.
