Springtime brings lots of opportunities for kids and adults to celebrate the accomplishments of the past school year; blow off pent-up energy from the long Wisconsin winter and generally have fun. This year, communities statewide can avoid the tragic alcohol related teen deaths that have marred so many past proms and graduations.
Wes Revels with the Monroe County Safe Community Coalition says some parents get the hosting laws confused with being in a bar with your children laws.
Revels reminds you that underage drinking isn’t a gray area of the law. It is it illegal to purchase, pour or provide alcohol for anyone under age 21 who isn’t your child or spouse.
