Group Sees No Negatives in Higher Minimum
Today, a higher minimum wage is set to become law in Minnesota. Governor Mark Dayton will sign the measure that increases the lowest wage for most workers to $9.50 an hour. Which will help thousands, says Minnesota Budget Project director, Nan Madden
Madden says, contrary to what some critics contend, her group’s research shows that there won’t be any significant job losses from the higher minimum which is scheduled to hit $9.50 by August of 2016.
