Two critical pieces of information were released Monday morning pertaining to
a Winona crash in January that killed four people. At a news conference, Winona County Attorney Karin (CAR-INN) Sonneman told WIZM News that a joint investigation with the sheriff’s department found both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. Toxicology tests determined the driver, Christina Hauser, had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.
Not much else being released though.
Sheriff Dave Brand says evidence shows the crash happened sometime after 2:30 a.m. on January 5th, as the four were returning from Wisconsin. They had also been seen in a Winona bar earlier. Also killed were Matthew Erickson, Blake Eric Overland, and Andrew Kingsbury.
