River High Enough for No Wake at La Crosse on Wednesday

Although major flooding is not expected along the Mississippi river at La Crosse, high water will make for some changes in how the river is used.  The city’s Harbor Commission is warning that, with the river expected to hit ten feet by Wednesday, a slow, no-wake rule is in effect for all developed shorelines in La Crosse county.  The river is expected to rise to 11 feet by Sunday.  That would be about a foot below flood stage.
