High Water A Fishing Concern?
Get ready….get set…….fish. This Saturday. That’s when the inland
fishing season starts. Anthony Larson with Coulee Region Outdoors says the high water should not be a concern. He adds that inland creeks and rivers should also be good to go.
Also, the DNR is telling anglers to clean their boats and gear, to prevent the spread of invasive species and fish diseases. State law requires fishing boats to have plants and other species removed before leaving any boat landings — and all the water must be drained. The DNR also cautions people not to move live fish from one body of water to another.
