Cocaine Suspect Released In March, Back In Jail In May

He was arrested two months ago in a La Crosse drug raid, and was released from jail a short time later.

Now, 19-year-old James Washington is back behind bars…for cocaine possession, and bail-jumping. Washington returned to the La Crosse jail yesterday, and is expected in court this afternoon. He and Aaron Thompson were busted in March on charges of selling crack to a police informant. The two are suspected of collaborating with Ernest Knox, who is now facing federal charges because of area drug activity.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk."
