Dead Body Found In RV In Winona
Winona Police are investigating a death after a body was discovered in a motorhome Winona Thursday night. According to the investigation, a group of people discovered the body in an exterior cargo bin during a stop at the Shopko in Winona. They’d rented the recreational vehicle from a business in Anoka County.
Police responded about 10 p.m. to the store after receiving a call about a dead person. The body has been brought to Mayo Clinic for an autopsy and formal identification, according to officials with the Winona Police Department.
No other information, including the gender or approximate age of the victim, and possible cause of death, is being released. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Winona Police Department’s investigation.
