Flooding Changes Race Course

Due to flooding on the bike trail between 7th Street and the

Oktoberfest Grounds in La Crosse, the 3 Rivers 5K Run/ Walk will be forced to use a modified route for tomorrow’s race. The majority of the route will remain the same, but once runners turn onto 7th Street they will now head south on Vine Street. Participants will follow Vine Street to Front Street, head north on Front to meet up with the trail fork that will then take them  back to Riverside Park where they will retrace their steps around Veterans Memorial Drive, around the eagle statue and to the finish line. Race directors have been keeping a close watch on flood levels all week and made the tough decision this morning to modify the route. The Festival Foods Grandad Half Marathon is hosted by the City of La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department.
