Rare Criminal Case Moving Forward
A rare criminal case is making it’s way through the Monroe County Court
system. Former Tomah Mayoral candidate, Leroy Kelsey is charged with 2 counts of felony false swearing. This after WIZM news learned that Kelsey was running as a convicted felon. D.A., Kevin Croninger has the latest on the case.
Candidates are asked whether they’ve been convicted of a felony when they fill out their paperwork to run for office. State law prohibits people from holding office if they have. According to the criminal complaint, Kelsey checked no. He’ll be back in court later this month.
