Riverfest Coming

While this part of the country is still waiting for spring weather to take hold, La Crosse is getting ready for summer.

The new Riverfest Commodore, Mike Diveley (DIVE-lee), and his wife Joyce were introduced to reporters on Wednesday.  Riverfest spokesman Nick Bjerke believes it’s good publicity for the Commodore to get some exposure in the weeks before the festival:

Riverfest will run for three days this year, from July 3rd to the 5th.  A rock concert featuring Rick Springfield is scheduled for the night before the fest kickoff, on Wednesday, July 2nd.
