Could La Crosse Cops Carry Narcan!

Around the U-S, many big city cops are being allowed to carry an antidote to

heroin, in order to stop overdoses. La Crosse firefighters have been taking Narcan on their calls for most of this year…but city police probably won’t be following their lead any time soon.

That’s Keith Lease of the Coulee Council on Addictions.  He also argues that La Crosse police generally don’t need to have Narcan in squad cars, because firemen and other first-responders already have brought the drug to an emergency scene.
