City Shuts Down Drug House Near School
The city of La Crosse goes to court to shut down a suspected drug house…
T The city attorney’s office asked a judge to declare a duplex on 24th Street a public nuisance because of reports of drug use. The house is located near Blessed Sacrament School. On La Crosse Talk PM, Mayor Tim Kabat said the city has been working with neighbors for months to do something about the house:
And Mayor Kabat says this kind of action will be ‘less rare’ in the future, with at least one other house in La Crosse considered a possible target for shutdown.
