Arson Charge for Rail Tie Fire
A homeless guy has been charged in the railroad tie fire from late last week in La Crosse. Police say they found 48 year-old Todd Limestahl just drinking and hanging out at a landing on the La Crosse river shortly after the fire began in the creosote-soaked railroad tie pile off of county highway B on Friday. They say Limestahl matched the description of the guy a witness says was standing near the Canadian Pacific railroad tie pile as it began to smolder. Police say Limestahl denies he set the fire but he has been charged with arson.
