Drinking Allowed Only in a Few City Parks

June.  Summer.  Softball.  A couple of cold ones at the park.  At some parks, that is.  The list of parks in which you can drink in La Crosse is far from all-inclusive.  Just seven of the city’s parks are alcohol-friendly.  And in those seven, city park and rec director, Steve Carlyon says, things go pretty well

The list of drinking parks is on the city’s website.  No matter what park, no drinking is allowed within a thousand feet of play structure, public beach or swimming pool.
