DOT Plans Roundabout In Sparta
Work is beginning June 9th in Sparta on Highway and 71 according to the
Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Dan Kleinertz, WisDOT project manager tells us that’s a bad intersection that’s seen some fatalities over the past 10 years.
The existing stop controlled intersection will be replaced with a $2 million roundabout. Another roundabout could be coming to Sparta soon near Highway 27 and River Road. Three are being built in Prarie Du Chien this summer as well.
