Nygren In La Crosse To Talk Heroine
The fight against heroin abuse in Wisconsin received a big push this year,
with passage of several bills sponsored by a Marinette lawmaker. But John Nygren has more ideas beyond the seven bills that were signed by Governor Walker. Nygren spoke with La Crosse County’s Heroin Task Force last winter, and he calls the county a leader in the effort to reduce overdose deaths. Returning to La Crosse yesterday, Nygren was optimistic that changes already proposed will show results. Republican Nygren was traveling with attorney general candidate Brad Schimel, who plans to enact his own campaign called ‘STOP Heroin’ if he’s elected in November.
