Some Question New Proposed Rules
Many people in the business world are angry at the White House and others in
Washington for pushing new clean-air standards for power plants. Critics believe the rules will cost jobs in America, and give an advantage to other countries. The proposed rules for coal-fired plants could be rough on Wisconsin, and on companies like Dairyland Power, according to company V-P Brian Rude:
Rude tells us that older Dairyland plants, such as the generator at Genoa, are fairly up to date already on technology to keep pollution out of the air.
