TIF Likely Going Forward Despite Concerns

No real threat of a TIF agreement falling apart on the northside of La Crosse.  Doesn’t seem that way to city council president Dick Swantz.  Although he is disappointed in an apparent lack of communication among council members that have led to last minute resistance to establishing the special taxing district around the Trane Plant 6 site.  The TIF, he says, not just a little critical to development there

The city council votes this week on creating the TIF.  It means 12 million dollars spent at the Trane Plant 6 site and in the surrounding area as well.
