YES! Applications For Same Sex Marriage Now In La Crosse County

La Crosse County will now be accepting same-sex marriage license applications. A Monday hearing by Judge Barbra Crabb was in response to an emergency request filed Friday night from Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen. Crabb says, since she has not issued any injunctive relief, she cannot issue a stay.

Both individuals are required to bring the following documentation: certified copies of birth certificates, divorce decrees that have a judge’s signature if a divorce was involved the past marriage or certified death certificates, photo id, proof of residency, social security numbers, the date of intended marriage and $90 cash only.

Per State Statutes, there will be a mandatory 5 day waiting period.
