Expected Approval of Inspection Shift Tonight
The La Crosse city council is expected tonight to agree to a plan to put the city’s fire department in charge of building code enforcement. Doesn’t mean firefighters will be in charge of doing inspections for building permits, though, says Mayor Tim Kabat
Kabat expects it will take a little bit before the fire inspectors and building inspectors work out the exact parameters of the jobs each will do.
