Police Chase Ending In Crash Turns Into Murder Investigation

The police chase that ended in a crash today near Holmen could turn into a murder case…

La Crosse police have arrested the driver who crashed along Highway 35.  He’s identified as 25-year-old Timmy Johnson Junior of Lancaster.  Investigators believe Johnson may have attacked a 79-year-old driver in Platteville yesterday and stole the man’s car.  The missing car was spotted by police near La Crosse City Hall early this morning, and the driver fled north.  The vehicle’s owner reportedly was found in the trunk of the car, and was declared dead at the scene.
