Council Member; Big Police Vehicle Could be Useful
A new military vehicle could come in handy for the La Crosse police department. Certainly has potential to be useful, says city council and police and fire commission member Doug Happel. He’s feeling pretty good about the giant M-RAP that police have just received as military surplus from the federal government
M-RAP stands for Mine Resistant Amubush Protected. 20 tons or so. Armor protected. Originally cost over 700 thousand dollars. La Crosse police got it basically for the cost of delivery.
