Walk A Mile Coming Soon
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a march against domestic violence. Men are
challenged to put on high heel shoes and walk a mile around Riverside Park. Kim Salwolke, a committee member of WAM, says she’s seen more and more men take part in the La Crosse event every year.
This Riverfest event will be Thursday, July 3rd, in Riverside Park. Registration, Check-in and shoe pick-up is from 2-5:30 pm, with the walk beginning at 6 pm. The walk route is two laps around Riverside Park. Money raised will help support the YWCA of the Coulee Region and Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation’s Carilee Fund in support of victims of domestic violence.
