Ham-burglar Caught Inside Popular PDC Burger Stand

During the summertime in Prairie du Chien, you can find Pete’s Hamburger stand open every Friday.

But, not usually at 2 in the morning.

Police in Prairie noticed the lights on and a window open at the hamburger trailer around 2 a-m last Friday.  The man in the trailer would not come out until more officers showed up.  A Wauzeka man is accused of breaking into Pete’s, and taking cash and coupons from the business.  Pete’s has operated in downtown Prairie du Chien for more than 100 years.
