Hourly Parking In Lax Ramps Brings In About $8000 A Month

Now that the ticket gates are working in the downtown La Crosse parking ramps, how much money are they bringing in?

The city of La Crosse says about 16-thousand dollars has been collected through parking fees at three ramps where the gates were turned on in April.  The Main Street ramp accounted for the most money, just over 55-hundred dollars.  The La Crosse Center ramp was close behind, and Market Square was in third place in hourly parking revenue.  Add event parking and other revenue, and the ramps have brought in 27-thousand dollars so far this year.  The city predicted it would get 100-thousand dollars for the entire year, when the 2014 budget was passed.
