Be Safe With Fireworks…And Don’t Shoot Them Late At Night

It happens every 4th of July…

After the big community fireworks shows, many people go home and try to keep the party going late into the night with their own fireworks and noisemakers.  La Crosse Police Lt. Pat Hogan discourages those late-night home fireworks, because they disturb the peace and can be dangerous.  And, many of those devices are illegal:

Sparklers and snakes are okay, but police and fire officials urge families to handle them safely, and to toss the burned ones into a bucket of water instead of the garbage.
