Health Rates Not Good In Badger state

A new report by Citizen Action Wisconsin finds that how individual states
adapt to the opportunities offered by health care reform has a major impact on the price of health insurance within their borders. Wisconsin ranks way to high says one lawmaker. Senate Democratic Leader Chris Larson lays out what he feels Wisconsin should do to stay competitive and fair to the state’s residents.
The report states that Wisconsin has neither a robust rate review program – defined as having prior authorization authority, nor an elected insurance commissioner. As such the report shows steps that Wisconsin could take to reduce the cost of health coverage for subsequent years.
