New Radar For Houston Co. Part Of MN Crackdown On Speeders
Speeding was the number-one factor contributing to single-vehicle car crashes in Minnesota last year.
That’s one reason why the state office of traffic safety is providing local law enforcement with new radar systems. Houston County Sheriff Doug Ely received one of those radar units this week:
According to 2013 police records, 26 per cent of the single-car crashes in Minnesota last year were the result of ‘illegal or unsafe speed.’ The second most common factor was weather.
