Noon Ceremony Meant to Raise Rail Danger Awareness

A ceremony today in La Crosse to remember those killed in a Quebec rail car explosion just over a year ago.  That accident resonates locally, because the Quebec crash involved a train carrying crude oil.  Just like the trains coming through La Crosse several times per day, says Maureen Freedland, with the group, Citizens Acting for Rail Safety

 

 

47 people were killed in the Quebec disaster on June 6th of last year.  Today’s commemoration will be in front of La Crosse’s Central High at noon.
