Woman Cited for Dog Theft

A well meaning woman in La Crosse will have to pay a fine for doing what she thought was the right thing.  Cops say the 60 year-old stole a little dog out of a yard on the southside because she thought it was not being well cared for.  She says the dog was dirty, it’s fur matted, sitting outside in piles of feces with no water.  Not a good environment, police agree, but not an excuse for theft, either.  The dog has been returned to its owners and police have warned them to get the dog groomed.
